CROPIMG_2422.jpgOlivia Lang, 17 of Oakridge High School stands next to her acrylic painting called "Vincent and Vlad." Her work is one of hundreds on display at the Muskegon Museum of Art, which has partnered with the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District to showcase student art.
Olivia Lang, an Oakridge Junior Art Student was interviewed by the Chronicle at the MMA Art Exhibit.  I was a proud Art Teacher as I listened to Olivia so eloquently talk about why Art is so important in her daily life at school.  The following is what the Chronicle printed...

{Olivia Lang from Oakridge High School said seeing her acrylic painting at the museum made her feel “very accomplished,” although it also made her a little nervous, because a larger audience would view her work.

“It’s the first time (my artwork) has ever been put in an actual local display versus just the student art case (at school),” she said.

The students’ work will be on display until April 8 in both the Cooper Gallery and the Wiener Gallery on the second floor. }
